Next Friday, November 6th, 2009 - The Haight St First Friday Art Walk.
-Featuring live music, unique art, and everything Haight St has to offer.

Confirmed events include the following:

Buffalo Exchange will be participating in a Dia de los Muertos ("Day of the Dead") event - featuring themed art, decorations, live acts, and alters in honor of family and friends. Free free to participate by bringing your own memorabilia to share. Snacks and entertainment provided. 6pm.

Booksmith will be holding two events this night. Local authors Arne Johnson (documentary film maker of Girls Rock!) and Karen Macklin (magazine writer and editorial director of Zest Books) will take attendees through the process of making a real, DIY zine. Participants will actually create their own zine, which will be available for collaborators to retrieve at Booksmith in the coming weeks! All supplies (and pizza) included. 6pm-7:30pm.

Follwing this event will be a special comedy event hosted by the producer of The Daily Show David Javerbaum, G.E.D. "What to Expect When You’re Expected: A Fetus’s Guide to the First Three Trimesters (A Parody)"

August Back-To-School Art Stroll!

Hey San Franciscans!

It's that time of the month again! We're gearing up for this Friday's Upper Haight Art Stroll.

All of your favorite local stores between Central and Stanyan will be hosting some great events for you to enjoy from 5-9 PM.

Each month this community event keeps getting bigger and better and this month will be no exception. The theme is "Back-to-School" and you are all in for a treat! There will be a variety of local bands that will be playing various sets up and down the street, student artists and more!

If you head over to the Buffalo Exchange on Clayton and Haight, you will get a free gift bag with a proof of a student ID... not to mention Pance Party will be spinning and after there will be some amazing Karaoke and snacks will be provided.

Come join us and make this months Art Stroll the best we've ever had!!

I wanted to start out by saying "THANK YOU", to all the artists and stores that are making this event possible and participated last month!

This month Buffalo Exchange has been featuring Max Ehrman a local artist. Thanks for letting us show your amazing art Max!

So this month there will be some new stores and a new name " The Upper Haight Art Stroll".

Just a quick update!
Everything is looking so far so good!

For the month of April we have over 20 stores involved with different events.

I'll be posting pictures from the mini art showing we did at buffalo exchange here shortly.
